Our story
LP Gardens Landscaping is a family-owned and operated company founded by Edgar Lopez, proudly serving Brunswick, Columbus, and New Hanover counties. With over 10 years of experience in the landscaping industry, LP Gardens has grown from a small dream into a trusted, full-service outdoor company.
More than a decade ago, Edgar Lopez began his journey in landscaping as a part-time passion. In 2015, alongside his father, Santiago Lopez, and his brother, Brandon Lopez, Edgar made the life-changing decision to pursue landscaping full-time—committed to building something lasting, an empire rooted in hard work, integrity, and quality service. Alongside his wife, Maggie, Edgar has continued to grow the business with a shared vision, strong family values, and a dedication to creating exceptional outdoor spaces for their community.
Just a few months into full-time operations, LP Gardens reached an exciting milestone: hiring its first employee. Around that same time, the company began expanding its services. What started as a humble grass-cutting operation quickly grew to include irrigation systems, sod installation, and professional plantings.
As the company continued to grow, so did its vision. LP Gardens expanded into hardscaping, offering paver patios, seating walls, fire pits, waterfalls, and custom outdoor features. More recently, the company introduced custom water features, including ponds and waterfalls, and proudly became Certified Aquascape Contractors (CACs)—bringing expert craftsmanship and industry-proven methods to every water feature installation.
Today, LP Gardens offers a wide range of services, including monthly lawn maintenance, chemical lawn treatments, landscape installations, modern paver hardscapes, and water features. With each passing year, the company has been fortunate to double in growth, allowing it to support its employees and continue serving the community it calls home.
